Generated Livery Tutorial • Le Mans Ultimate

Four quick steps

Download the PNG, export it as customskin.tga, save it in the LMU liveries folder, then assign it in game.

Step 1

Download the PNG

Grab the generated render and keep it in a folder you can find again quickly.

  • Download the PNG as soon as Liverygen finishes your render.
  • Place it in a dedicated working folder.

Step 2

Open it in an editor

Use Paint.NET or any editor that can export a TGA file.

  • Open the PNG in Paint.NET, Photoshop, GIMP, or similar.
  • Confirm the image looks clean and not cropped.

Step 3

Export customskin.tga

LMU reads a single TGA file with a fixed name inside the liveries folder.

  • Use Save As and pick the TGA format.
  • Name it customskin.tga and save it in your LMU liveries folder.

Step 4

Assign it in LMU

Create a new custom car and LMU will pull in the file automatically.

  • In LMU go to Options → Liveries → Create New Car.
  • Pick the correct manufacturer or team and LMU will load customskin.tga.
Example path: X:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Le Mans Ultimate\UserData\Liveries. Match it to your own Steam library or install directory.
